This fly in Safari allows you to gorilla trek in Bwindi and time for game drives and a boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On arrival, our guide will pick you and transfer you to Entebbe Airport for your internal flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park landing at either Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip. Upon landing, our representative guide will transfer you by road to your respective overnight Lodge. You may choose to fly in the morning or in the afternoon.

Morning flights depart Entebbe for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park at 7:45am while afternoon flights depart Entebbe at 03:30pm. For the southern part of Bwindi National Park, there is only one morning flight that departs Entebbe to Kisoro Airstrip daily at 7:45am. This is because of the strong winds in this region.

Internal flights to Bwindi National Park take up to one and half hours depending on the routing of the day. Upon arrival in the park, you will check in at your booked lodge for resting as you wait for the next day’s activity. Depending at your arrival time, all meals will be served at the lodge. Accommodation options include; Mahogany Springs, Nkuringo Gorilla Camp and many more lodges.

Early in the morning, have your breakfast, have your packed lunch ready and report to the park headquarters for registration and join other trekkers in a briefing about the dos and the don’ts t be taken serious during your gorilla trekking process. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas which can take you about 1 to 3 to find them.

The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures.

Upon coming up close to these giants, you will be granted 1 hour of taking videos and pictures. Picnic lunch will be had in the forest but not all that close the gorillas. Later return to the starting point for certificates. Return to the lodge for relaxation.

The following morning, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive if time allows. Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its wildlife viewing including African buffalo, Ugandan Kob, hippopotamus, giant forest hog, warthog, Nile crocodile, African bush elephant, African leopard, lion, chimpanzee among others.

It is home to 95 mammal species and over 500 bird species and all these can be seen during a game drive. Accommodation facilities where you can have your dinner and sleepovers include Mweya Safari Lodge, Elephant Plains Lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge, Ishasha Wilderness Camp, Katara Lodge and many more.

This morning, you will have a cup of tea and you head off to Kasenyi plains for another game drive in search for animals you could have missed in your previous game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to the pier for a 2-hour boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Kazinga channel is believed to be the largest natural water channel in the whole world and has the highest concentrations of hippos recorded in the whole world.

While on this boat, you can spot several water birds, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and so many animals that visit this channel for drinking water. This cruise also takes you to some fishing villages in the park for you to understand how people can co-exist with wildlife in harmony. Return to your lodge for dinner and sleepovers.

After breakfast and if you are booked on the morning scheduled internal flight, you will transfer to Mweya or Kasese Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe. If you are booked on an afternoon flight, you may choose to do a game drive or go for an optional chimpanzee walk in Kyambura gorge before flying back to Entebbe and that marks the end of your fly-in safari to Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National Park.
