Depending on the number of number of days you want to spend on your safari, the simple way of making your trip easy and more enjoyful, you will start the safari from Kenya (Masai Mara National Park) and end it in Uganda (Murchison Falls National Park).

Your safari will start with a pick up at Jomo Kenya Airport by our experienced driver guide who will transfer you to Masai Mara National Park. Masai Mara National Park is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals such as lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, buffalos among others and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve.

The park is in the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest.  Arrive for lunch at the camp and later depart for an evening game viewing drive until sunset in this spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world.

The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets. You may have dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge or any other booked accommodation facility of your choice.

The following day, you will have another game watching experience with morning and afternoon game drives. Wildlife is abundant in the Reserve with the gentle grasslands ensuring that animals are never out of sight. Birds are prolific including immigrants, 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey.

Every year the Mara plays host to the world’s greatest natural spectacle known as the Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. The big cats such as lion, leopard, and cheetah follow the wildebeest essentially their main source of food into the Mara.

The Mara at this time is literally packed with wildlife and hence providing lucky visitors on safari with superb sightings. A picnic lunch is required on this full day game drive. After a full day of exploring the park, you can return to the lodge for freshening up as you wait for dinner.

The next day will be for a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Uganda). After having breakfast, you will meet your driver to transfer you to the airstrip to catch with a flight to Uganda. You may use either Aero link or Kenya Airways.

On arrival, you check-in at your booked lodge for dinner and sleepover as you prepare for the next day’s experience. Options include Mahogany Springs lodge, Buhoma lodge, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Bwindi Lodge and many others.

This day will be for gorilla trekking experience. After breakfast with you packed lunch, you will be driven to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking dos and dots. Gorilla family allocation depends on your fitness, interest and age. Please endeavor to communicate to your guide your interests so he or she can try and request for you a suitable group before you begin the trek into the forest.

 Once you find them, you are allowed one hour of photography and observation before returning back to the lodge. Gorilla trekking is a tedious exercise and therefore requires a level of fitness but is an amazing experience of a life time. After a tiresome experience, you can trek back to the headquarter to meet your driver to transfer you back to the lodge for relaxing.

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. This is quite a long journey from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and you will arrive in the park in the evening. This journey will take you through Queen Elizabeth National Park with chances of spotting some wild game as you drive through. You will have late lunch in Fort Portal town and later proceed to Papaya lodge for overnight.

After breakfast, you will drive to Kibale National Park for briefing and then set off into the jungle for chimpanzee trekking. This park is popular for primates and birds. There have been 15 registered primate species so far in this park.

Chimpanzees live in communities of about 50-250 individuals but break up into small groups during the day to reduce on competition for food. You will be allowed one hour with the chimpanzees before returning to the lodge. In the afternoon, take a wetland walk in Bigodi village. Dinner and sleepover at to Papaya lodge.

In the morning after having breakfast, you will drive to Entebbe International Airport in time to catch up with your departure flight back home.
